Festival of Children

The 11th annual Festival of Children® will be held at South Coast Plaza September 1st through 30th. Over 100 stage and hands-on activities are planned, to delight children and adults alike. Enjoy ballet, arts and crafts, jugglers, puppeteers and amazingly talented dancers and singers from our local schools. A full schedule of activities will be available for viewing in the days ahead, as well as a complete list of participating charities. All ages and families are invited to enjoy the month-long Festival. This event is offered free to the public by Festival of Children Foundation.

Events Calendar Highlights

Stop by for a character meet and greet of Yo Gabba Gabba and Disney’s Jake and the Neverland Pirates! Kids of all ages will take the stage in Carousel Court, modeling back-to-school looks from participating South Coast Plaza retailers at our Back-to-School Fashion Show. Check out amazing sculptures built with cans at our Construction OC displays (benefiting Orange County Food Bank). View amazing playhouses that will be auctioned to raise money for homeless families at Project Playhouse. Come join the Element/beachworks Skateboard Event and watch Pullin’ Strings Puppet Shows. And our ever popular Coffee, Tea, Mommy & Me program, an educational talk followed by an arts & crafts activity, is back, every Friday morning of September.
