Join us for a “Tree Hug Hike” out to the Redwood Forest with Valerie Bain. Valerie will read a story under the canopy of our tallest trees while your family relaxes together on a blanket or towel. Afterward children and their adults will do a craft and or activity. Parents remain with children at all times. All ages welcome. Bring your own blanket or towel. Check calendar for themes.

BOOK SWAP: We would like to invite you to participate in a new feature of our Reading in the Redwoods family literacy program, a Book Swap! After hearing stories under our Redwood trees, families will have a chance to visit our Book Swap Station as one of the scheduled activities in order to exchange books. Please bring your enjoyable read for any level (baby-adult books, nature-related are encouraged but not required). Swapping items reduces waste in the landfill, eliminates packaging, conserves energy, and much more.
